Rohan Murthy is an Indian-American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was born on October 8, 1983, in Bangalore, India. He is the son of Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys, one of India's largest IT companies.
Rohan Murthy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Cornell University and a PhD in computer science from Harvard University. He has worked as a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and as a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows.
In addition to his work in computer science, Rohan Murthy is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He has donated millions of dollars to various causes, including education, healthcare, and the arts. In 2013, he founded the Murthy Classical Library of India, which aims to make classical Indian literature accessible to a global audience.
Rohan Murthy is married to writer and journalist Aparna Krishnan.
